The dosbox extension in the 4.x repo was submitted by yourself at the time of tc-3.x and the SDL extension has not changed since tc-3.x - i.e. nothing should have changed.

Booting original TC 4.1 runs DosBox fine.  Well, now must find for the error.  :-(

Xorg is still unloading both the ati and modesetting drivers - maybe because you have the boot code "vga=791", which probably means you are still using TinyCorePure64 instead of CorePure64.

Do you have the firmware-radeon extension installed?

With my hardware, Xorg-7.7 tries to load drivers in the following order: [code][    15.024] (==) Matched intel as autoconfigured driver 0

Modesetting uses the kernel KMS driver, while vesa uses the vesa bios. Neither has any acceleration. Vesa is more universal, but more limited in the resolutions supported.

edit: Well, modesetting does support 2d-over-opengl acceleration if your card ha...

I temporarily lost my Wifi access AFTER I got <grub2EFI> working.
What helped was trimming of the cosmetic-fluff from the grub.cfg entry,
which allowed the vital error mesg: <KERNEL TOO OLD> to be read,

Since there is not package manager......folks need to realize that they need to be very careful downloading anything from the piCore repo.   Dependencies may be different between the two repos.  (And yes, pCP has it's own repo too)

I have quite a few p...

I always forget this when I'm in a hurry to blast up a tinycore system ..

Even though I favor a tiny-X server and not a full-bore Xorg server, I tend to forget how much nicer it is when you download and install

graphics-<kernel>.tcz     (ie 4.19.xx)

Just wondering about the mirrors.tcz ..

I'm running TinyCorePure64 ver 10.1 and when I tell it to find the fastest mirror, it scans 20 mirrors, and picks the fastes.  Yet for the life of me, I can't find the mirror file it uses as a reference.

So the q...
