I have been chasing these wifi issues and have found this improves the situation:

Change wifi-wpadrv and add to /opt/.filetool.lst
From:
$ cat /etc/sysconfig/wifi-wpadrv
wext
To:
$ cat /etc/sysconfig/wifi-wpadrv
nl80211,wext
